The Waikato Stud Matamata Swifts head over the Kaimais for the second week in a row, with this Saturday’s destination being Links Ave Stadium, Mt Maunganui, for their WaiBOP Premiership match against Tauranga City United. The Swifts have a good recent record at Links, having won their last two there, including a 1-0 victory over a then high-flying Tauranga side. The match kicks off at 2.45pm.
Earlier in the day the Swifts reserves take on Old Blues reserves at Wharepai Domain, Tauranga. The reserves are unbeaten and have been forced to come back from two goals down twice in a row. The coaching staff will be hoping for something a bit more comfortable this time out but Old Blues will offer up a few physical questions on the small Wharepai pitch. The match kicks off at 12.30pm.
The Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies got their 2015 campaign off to a flyer at Te Awamutu last weekend and will be looking for more of the same at Ngaruawahia United’s Centennial Park. The hosts will be looking to bounce back from a slow start to the season and, at home, could be a challenging prospect for the ladies. The match kicks off at 11am on Sunday.
