All three senior teams were in action at the Domain over the weekend, and it was a mostly successful time.

Stanley Joinery Matamata Swifts let in a couple of soft goals in losing 2-1 to Melville United, but were half the width of an upright away from grabbing a point from a game that neither side really deserved to win. Click here for the match details.

In the curtain raiser on Saturday the Swifts Reserves notched up their first win of the season with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Huntly Thistle. Serial goal scorer, Jamie Cox, scored twice and was joined on the score sheet by John Harris. Click here for a report and photos.

On Sunday the Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies defeated Eastern Suburbs 5-0 to continue their promising start to the season. Sarah Coppard was the star with a hat trick and she was joined on the score sheet by Krystal Morrison and Gabrielle Raynel. Click here for a match report.
