The Swifts Reserves eased to their first victory of the season with a comfortable looking victory against Huntly Thistle. Jamie Cox grabbed a double, including a late penalty, while second half substitute, John Harris, scored the vital second goal not long after coming on.
This was an open, end-to-end match, that should probably have been 3-3 inside the first 20 minutes. The Reserves created a host of chances, as did the visitors. Matt Aberhart, in goal for the Reserves, pulled off several good saves, including one right after the break to preserve the half time lead.
In the end the Reserves deserved their victory, although the three goal margin was probably a little harsh on the visitors who competed well.
