The club has a relatively busy weekend, with all senior teams in action, while junior grading is currently scheduled for Sunday.
The Swifts host Hukanui-Rototuna Clube in their 4th round Federation Pre-Season Cup fixture. Newly promoted Federation League Division 1 side Clube will provide a stern test for Chris Powell’s evolving Swifts side three weeks out from the start of the season. Kick-off is at 2.45pm.
The reserves and under-17s plan on playing an interclub match prior to the main game.
The Swifts Ladies travel to Cambridge on Sunday for their first pre-season encounter. Kick-off is at 11am.
Junior grading is currently scheduled for Sunday, although this will be dependent on Cyclone Luci.
On the evening of Friday March 14 our senior goalkeepers will be put through a 90 minute workout by Andy McNeil, WaiBOP United’s 1st team goal, as part of their pre-season preparations.
The senior football season begins on the weekend of April 5/6. Junior football begins on May 10.
