It’s a busy old weekend for the club, with all our senior and junior teams in action.
The Stanley Joinery Matamata Swifts at back at the Domain for their WaiBOP Federation League Division 1 match against Tauranga Boys College FC. The Swifts were unlucky to be held to a 1-1 draw at unbeaten Old Blues last Saturday and will be planning to put in a similar performance this weekend. The match kicks off at 2.45pm. In the curtain raiser, the Swifts Reserves play Unicol A in the latest round of the Waikato Cup. The reserves are on a superb recent run, which included a big away win over Saturday’s opponents in the league a few weeks ago. The match kicks off at 12.30pm.
On Sunday, the Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies travel to Waikato University to play Unicol. The ladies are closing in on the Waikato Ladies Division C title and will be eyeing up another three points from a side they comfortably beat earlier in the season.
The Matamata Sports World Under-17s, fresh from their second win of the season, host Melville at the Domain on Sunday. The match kicks off at 1pm.
All our Junior teams also take to the field at various venues across the Waikato this Saturday and, as ever, our Mini-Kickers programme will run from 9am to 10am at the Domain.
