You can expect fireworks this weekend as both the Waikato Stud Matamata Swifts and Richardson Racing Stables Swifts Reserves head over the Kaimais in search of much needed victories.

The Swifts are off to Fergusson Park in Tauranga to play Otumoetai. We defeated Otumoetai earlier in the season, but the boys will be expecting a tough encounter as Fergusson Park has traditionally proven a difficult place to visit. The predicted weather won’t make our task any easier. The match kicks off at 2.45pm.

The reserves venture to Te Puke, one of five sides with realistic promotion chances. Te Puke has dropped points only twice this season, but one of those occasions was when the reserves came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at the Domain in early April. The match kicks off at 2.45pm at Litt Park.

The Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies have another Sunday off.

Our Junior 8th to Open Grade sides play their final matches of term 2 tomorrow before getting a well earned break. Click here to find our where they’re all playing. The Swifts Mini-Kickers programme has finished for term 2. Mini-kickers will return on July 25.
