While our junior players take a well earned break over the school holidays the senior teams will keep the club’s kit on the field.

This Saturday the Domain hosts another WaiBOP Premiership/Championship double header. The Waikato Stud Matamata Swifts welcome Papamoa FC to town for the first time ever. The two sides drew the encounter over the hill earlier in the season but they’ll both be desperately chasing a win to keep pace in a congested middle of the table. The match kicks off at 2.45pm.

The early match sees the Richardson Racing Stables Swifts Reserves take on Te Awamutu. The reserves were so, so unlucky (yeah, that’s one way of putting it…) not to take all three points at Te Puke last Saturday in a game they weren’t expected to win. They’ll be expected to win this one, however, so they need to put in a similar performance. The match kicks off at 12.30pm.

On Sunday the Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies travel to last placed Ngaruawahia United in Waikato Ladies Division B. The ladies know a victory will all but sew up second spot behind Hamilton Wanderers and they’ll be wanting a few goals too. The match kicks off at 11am on Sunday at Centennial Park, Ngaruawahia.
