We have a big weekend at the Domain to look forward to with all three senior teams at home.
The Stanley Joinery Matamata Swifts play Melville United in Federation League Division 1, with both sides looking for a first win of the 2014 campaign after narrow opening day defeats. We did the double over Melville last season, but it looks like they’re a very different side this season. Kick-off is at 2.45pm.

In the curtain raiser, the Swifts Reserves host Huntly Thistle. Coming of their thrilling 5-5 draw last weekend the reserves will want to turn home advantage into three points but we can expect Huntly to present a solid challenge. Kick-off is at 12.30pm.
On Sunday the Swifts Ladies play host to Eastern Suburbs in their second of four consecutive home games. The ladies got off to a flyer last weekend with a good 3-0 win over Mangakino United and will be buzzing for this one. Kick-off is at 11am.
On Friday afternoon we have the second week of Pro Keeper training. WaiBOP United’s Andy McNeil will be here to take three groups off keepers through some more expert sessions. In total 14 of the clubs goalies – junior, youth and senior – will take part in the sessions. The first group gets going at 3.30pm at Pohlen Park.
