Our senior teams have something of a broken weekend, with only two of the four teams playing. But it’s a massive one for all our junior Swifts as the 2017 Waikato junior season gets underway tomorrow.
COMAG Matamata Swifts have a big one – the Karapiro derby at Cambridge. We did the double over our neighbours last year for the first time in, well, ages. Something similar, starting tomorrow, will be what the team’s aiming for. Richardson Racing Stables Swifts Reserves game this weekend has been postponed, while the Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies have already safely tucked away their first three points of the season after Claudelands defaulted Sunday’s fixture earlier in the week. The Swifts A team heads to top of the table, Melville United.
