Matamata Swifts AFC is pleased to announce it will be hosting the inaugural U-13 Pre-Season Championships at the Matamata Domain on Friday April 3, 2015 (Good Friday).
Club Development Manager, Dwayne Barlow, said that while this is a new venture for the club it should help fill an obvious gap in the pre-season programme for this important age group. “Hopefully over time we can grow this tournament into something that sits alongside the other key age-group events,” said Barlow. “For 2015, however, we aim to put on a well run tournament that provides players with a solid day of football and coaches the opportunity to fine tune things ahead of the winter season.
“We’ve got a few surprises up our sleeves too!”
