Waikato Stud Matamata Swifts head to Auckland for the Chatham Cup qualifying round fixture against Auckland Wanderers. This is a bit of a trip into the unknown as the Wanderers are an Auckland Sunday League side. The Swifts will be confident after being undefeated in their last three WaiBOP Premiership matches, but this is cup football and you never know what’s going to happen. The match kicks off at 2pm at Colin Maiden Park in Auckland.
Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies play their first home game of the season this Sunday. They host Claudelands Rovers in their Waikato Ladies Division B fixture and it promises to be a cracker. Both sides won their opening games of the season, with a fair bit to spare, so something’s got to give in this one. Head down to the Domain for an 11am kick-off on Sunday.
