Matamata Swifts have signed a partnership agreement with Ultra Football New Zealand for the supply of playing and training apparel and equipment for the next three years. Swifts’ teams will continue to wear the Nike brand.
After the Swifts’ previous supplier, The Soccer Shop, entered liquidation the club entered the market looking for a partner that could supply a full range of equipment. After a lengthy process in which a range of companies and brands were considered, club management settled on three potential suppliers.
“We received three excellent, competitive proposals but in the end club management settled on Ultra as they represent the Nike brand in New Zealand,” said Swifts President, Dwayne Barlow. “We have several years’ experience with Nike kit and equipment and trust in its quality.
“We met with Ben [Sigmund, Ultra’s Sales Manager] a couple of years ago. While the time wasn’t right then, Ben’s stayed in touch, and we’re pleased to sign on with Ultra now.”
Ultra Football is pleased to add the Swifts to the growing list of New Zealand clubs they partner with. “We are so excited and happy to sign up with the Swifts,” said Sigmund. “The club has a great reputation and a long history of providing a good football experience for their community. We’re especially pleased to see the Swifts continue wearing the world famous Nike brand.”
