The Swifts 1st and reserve teams head to Auckland tomorrow to take on their Papakura City counterparts in the first matches of their pre-season schedule.
After more than a month on the training field, with numbers and quality improving over that time, the coaching staff, led by Chris Powell (1st team) and Paul Richardson (reserves), are looking forward to their first proper run-out.
Papakura City play in NRFL Division 2, which is one level above the WaiBOP Premiership. We last played them in NRFL Division 2 in 2012, where we won 2-1 away (pictured) before drawing the home encounter 1-1.
Both matches are at McLennan Park, Papakura. The reserves kick-off at 12.30pm followed by the 1st team at 2.30pm.
