It was mixed emotion for the Swifts Waikato A team who were away at Eastern City.
In what was a pulsating encounter the Swifts came back from behind three times, including trailing 4-2 just after the half-time break, to take a 5-4 lead late into the game. However, like the Swifts, they too failed to hold on, conceding a late headed goal to share the spoils in a classic 5-all goal fest.
Goals were well shared around with Jamie Cox, Ronan Costello, Scott Hudson, Joe Gifford and Marcelo Marquez all on the score sheet.
