It was a perfect weekend for the three Swifts senior sides in action.

Stanley Joinery Matamata Swifts defeated Melville United 2-0 at Gower Park. Andrew and Lawrence Clothier scored the goals in the first half for Matamata’s second win in a row. Click here for the match details.

On Sunday, the Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies put double figures on Morrinsville for the second time this season. Their 15-0 win, the biggest of the season, saw two players score five each. The club’s leading goal scorer, Sarah Coppard, was joined by youngster Garbrielle Raynel in scoring five. Annemieke Verstraten scored a hat trick and was joined on the score sheet by Rebecca Stewart and Summer Rickard.

The Sports World Matamata Swifts U-17s had a bye this weekend.
