Eric played over 150 first team games for the club in both the Northern League and Waikato leagues. In the Northern League he played 136 games and scored 26 goals, including the club’s first ever Northern League goal (on April 9, 1983 in a 2-1 defeat at home against Cambridge).
He passed away in 2015. The Swifts’ number 14 was retired immediately.
