We have pumped literally hundreds of thousands of litres of water into the number 1 pitch at the Matamata Domain over the last month as we fight an on-going battle against dry spells.

February has probably been the driest month in the history of the world so it’s been necessary to have the sprinklers going almost non-stop as we’re due to host WaiBOP United’s final ASB Youth League match on March 8, along with a string of pre-season friendlies for our teams.

This effort wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support of Waharoa Transport and the Matamata Volunteer Fire Brigade. A massive thank you from the club to those two organisations.
