This is evidenced by the different generations of people involved as members of our club. Football also brings with it a diverse and wide range of cultures not possible through any other sport.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Matamata-Piako, Thames Valley and South Waikato youngsters can sign up for the Swifts Player Development Programme (SPDP). The SPDP is run by the Ricki Herbert Football Academy in partnership with Matamata Swifts AFC.

PLAY IN 2023

We began taking registrations for the 2023 football season in late-January. The registration link is now live. We have opportunities for senior men and women, along with junior boys and girls. Sign for the Swifts!

HOLIDAY PROGRAMME

Looking for something for the kids during the school holidays? This is a fun football and physical literacy programme open boys and girls of all interests and levels. Footballers and non-footballers alike are welcome.
